Disappointed
I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism at this concert. The tickets stated that the opening act would begin at 8:00pm, but instead of a band, we were entertained by a DJ who didn't start until after 8:30pm. We waited until 10:33pm, feeling bored, before Madonna finally took the stage to start the performance. We arrived early to find parking and waited in line to enter the AT&T Center, which we were allowed to do at 7:30pm. It was freezing outside, but we had no choice. There was no explanation for the delay or an apology from Madonna, making me think something had gone wrong.
Madonna's dancers put on a great performance, but I felt that she showed her age by singing her songs at a slow pace. She can still move, albeit cautiously. The show wouldn't have been as exciting without her performers. We attended the concert because she was an icon from the 80's and self-proclaimed celebrity. The show lasted just over 2 hours, including multiple costume changes and solo performances by her dancers, as well as videos on a screen.
Seeing Madonna in person for the first time was a positive experience. My impression of her is that she is a self-centered woman with an attitude. Money and fame seem to have consumed her.
